SOS Pump Crab Float Switch + Piggyback Plug

The SOS Pump Crab level switch is designed to rest on a flat surface where it remains settled at the bottom, allowing it to trace water level coming from the floor. It can detect water from as low as 3mm of the floor (plus or minus 1mm).

With the use of a magnetic key which is supplied with the product you can adjust the start/stop delay time to your needs. They come pre-set to Start after 5 seconds and stop after 30 seconds, they adjustment rage between 1 – 120 seconds. 

Suitable for level monitoring of clear, rainwater, industrial water, water containing chemical substances.

Schuko Piggyback Plug
The schuko piggyback plug provided with the float switch allows to connect a pump without a switch directly to an electrical socket as to control the start and stop function.

The Principle of Operation is based on the electrical conductivity of the water

1. Water level increases and reaches the 2 sensors of the Crab.
2. Crab turns ON the pump 5 seconds after the 2 sensors have detected the water to let the pump prime.
3. The water level decreases.
4. Crab turns OFF the pump 30 seconds after the 2 sensors don’t detect the water anymore to let the pump empty the system.

Factory set Delay Times: Start 5" - Stop 30"

Setting Start Delay Time

1. Disconnect the plug from the electrical system;
2. Put the magnetic key close to the arrow stamped on the side of the electronic controller;
3. Connect the plug to turn on the pump;
4. Hold the magnetic key in position for how many seconds you wish to delay the starting time (maximum 120 seconds);
5. Once you got the desired delay time, remove the magnetic key. 

Setting Stop Delay Time

1. Connect the plug to the electrical system;
2. Wait for the pump shutdown;
3. Put the magnetic key close to the arrow shown on the side of the electronic regulator and the pump starts;
4. Hold the magnetic key in position for the seconds necessary to delay the shutdown (maximum 120 seconds);
5. Once reached the desired time, remove the magnetic key.
