RUSSELL IPM SMALL MOTHCATCHER TRAP (WIHOUT PHEROMONES)
Simple to use funnel trap for monitoring and containment of various moth pests. This Russell IPM MothCatcher Trap is delivered without a pheromone. To control the Box Tree Moth, you need the pheromone Cydalima Perspectalis (box tree moth pheromone) to be ordered separately.
Russell IPM’s MothCatcher traps are highly effective at trapping a range of moth pests. The weatherproof casing is designed for use with pheromone lures for monitoring and mass trapping of flying insects.
The traps are hardwearing and can be used for several seasons. Additionally, as the entry point is covered, the moth trap is suitable for outdoor and dusty environments.
Benefits of the MothCatcher trap:
Mothcatcher Trap
A compact and easy to assemble moth monitoring device in a robust and weather proof polystyrene material. The trap is made of green material to reduce non-target insect attraction to the trap. It is suitable for both monitoring and mass trapping.
Target pests
It is recommended to use this trap with one lepidopteran species pheromone for the whole duration of its use.

How to use
Fill the bucket with approx. 5 cm of water. Remove the cap from the pheromone holder, place an appropriate pheromone in the holder and close it again with the cap. Click the green trap lid onto the funnel and press it onto the bucket, twisting clockwise to close the trap. Check your traps on a regularly basis.
Reach
A Buxus moth trap has a reach of approx. 180 m² or 200 linear meters.
Trap data
Examine the trap once a week, or at least once a month. During the height of the infestation, more frequent readings and pheromone replacements may be necessary.
Servicing the trap
Traps should be serviced regularly. Best is to collect and dispose its content far away from the location and preferably outside the orchard. Traps should
be wiped, dried and stored carefully for use in the following season. Do not use this trap to catch other types of insects as pheromones may interfere and lose their efficacy.
The Buxus moth trap can easily be reused and the pheromone fillings are available separately as a refill pack.
The Pheromone Refill Packs last for 6 months out of the fridge but in a cool store - 1 year in fridge and 2 years in freezer.
