Pokon Buxus Moth Trap

The buxus moth is active from April to October, with a peak in July and September. Caterpillars can cause a lot of damage in a short time, such as dead leaves, bare branches, leaf skeletons and silk. In a few weeks, whole box hedges and boxwood bulbs can be eaten.

The Pokon Buxus Moth Trap is a detection trap for monitoring purposes only: the degree of infection can be monitored throughout the season.

Instructions
Place the Pokon Buxus Moth Trap at the beginning of the season (April), before the first moths can be seen. The male moths are attracted by the pheromone, penetrate the trap and are captured. Thanks to the transparent reservoir you can easily see the presence of moths.

  1. Put on gloves (recommended);
  2. Fill the transparent container 1/3 with water;
  3. Turn the lid on the reservoir of the trap;
  4. Place the disc on the 4 vertical bars;
  5. Take 1 pheromone capsule from the aluminum sachet;
  6. Open the capsule and place the opened capsule in the cage;
  7. Close the cage with the white cap;
  8. Place the cage in the upper part of the trap (in disc opening);
  9. Slide the wire through the 2 eyelets on top of the trap;
  10. Place the trap in the heart of the bush or near it.

Touch the opened pheromone capsule as little as possible to ensure maximum attraction.

Dosage
Use 1 pheromone capsule every 3 months

At the end of the season, the monitoring trap must be removed and cleaned. Save the trap so you can use it again next year. After the production date (see on the packaging), the originally packaged pheromone capsules can be kept at room temperature for 30 months. Freezing or reusing the pheromone capsules is not possible.
