Ecostyle Insects Glue Tape 2.5 Meters

Protects against crawling insects
Applying the ECOstyle adhesive band around the trunk protects the tree from the winter moth and other crawling pests. It is a natural barrier that the pests cannot cross. Even for ants, who like to take care of and maintain lice colonies, the adhesive band is an insurmountable obstacle.

  • Protects fruit trees from various insects
  • Contents - 2.5 m adhesive band and 6 m rope
  • Weatherproof

Small and large winter moth
The caterpillars of the winter moth eat the leaves, the flower and the fruit. They pupate in the summer. After the first frost the moth emerges from the pupa. Through the trunk, the unwinged female crawls to the crown of the tree and lays her eggs there.

Chestnut leafminer
The larvae of this moth eat their way through the leaf. This causes the leaves to discolor and wither. The moth pupates, falls to the ground along with the leaf and hibernates there. In spring the moth emerges from the pupa and crawls or flies with several stops along the trunk to the crown of the tree. The eggs are deposited on the top of the leaf. The horse chestnut leafminer moth has several generations per year.

Ants and aphids
Aphids cause growth retardation, dried and distorted leaves. Aphids secrete leaf sugars that are taken away by ants and transported through the stem of the plant to their nest. Ants maintain aphid colonies and protect them from their enemies. By stopping ants, ladybugs and other beneficial insects can more easily control aphids. Instructions Determine the size of the trunk, add 3 cm overlap. This is the length of the Glue Tape you need. Measure the Glue Band and fold it open with the glue layer facing out. Wrap the rubber band around the trunk at a height of about 100 cm. Tie the Glue Tape as tightly as possible with the enclosed string. If there is a tree pole next to the tree, apply the Glue Band there as well.

Protect your (fruit) trees all year round
The Sticky Band with natural resins from ECOstyle protects (fruit) trees all year round. Please note that the application period for the winter moth, horse chestnut leaf miner and ants is different. Take this into account when placing the adhesive band.

What else you should know about the Glue Band
For a long-lasting effect, apply a new rubber band above the old one after 2 to 3 months.
